Perfect storm day

A whirlwind of a day with the trades - and no fights!  Working on the outside, we had the stucco guys on the North wall, George and a helper doing the soffits and some work on the copper roof, Juvenal doing the trim prep areas at the roof level and Virgilio finishing the roof sections and flat on the porch.

Inside, we had the tapers back for round 2, Sam cleaning up and prospective painters and tile providers touring the place.  Busy, busy, busy!

Roof done for now

Virgilio has finished the back roof above the breakfast area, and put in temporary water protection on the front bay window - he'll come back after the stone guys have finished to do the small finishing touches.

Roof done!

Virgilio and his gang put the last touches on the flat part of the roof.  First, a thick layer of rubber membrane, then a thick sheeting of shingle like material.  The roof looks great.

Busy day at the office

Very busy day today - which is always a good thing.  As Hersh and his crew finish the roof sheeting and start on the smaller roof areas (3 in the front, 1 in the back), Juvenile is around doing some of the to-dos on the inside of the house.

Virgilio has arrived with his crew, and Hersh has been nice enough to use the zoom boom machine to lift all of the shingles and ice shield up - saves a ton of time.

To top it off, the plumber was here today specing out the drain lines, the flooring guy was here to measure and show samples to Cheryl, and Tony from Stairtech was here to suss out the stair situation.
