Walls looking good

The forms have been stripped and things are looking good.  They're a little too soft right now to do the waterproofing, so we're going to wait until Monday.  Can't wait to back fill!

Walls!

Foundation pour

Big day

It will be a big day. The forming guys are finishing their last tasks - brick veneer and garage slab ledges, small knee wall for basement supporting walls as well as giving the whole area a good once over. The guys from Rock Concrete have been amazing. We will start pouring the walls at 1pm today. If all goes well we strip and waterproof tomorrow.

Rebar inspection

Lawrence, the structural engineer, came by to inspect the rebar placement and consistency.  He passed the job with flying colours, and commented how good a job Rock Concrete have done.  Good to hear!

Pool making progress

The pool guys continue to work away, sequestered in the backyard.  They have had a handful of guys here almost every day this week.  Love these guys.  They're very courteous and respectful of the "main" house guys, which keeps everyone happy.

Getting the exterior forms set up!

Weeping tile

Bright and early, we've got the weeping tile installed and the foundation walls measured up.  Should be a very busy day.

Forms arrive

Rock Concrete dropped off the forms today.  From what I hear, they will be in and out in 3 days.  Sounds good to me!
