Pool Dig

Gib-San's excavator came over bright and early to mark and dig the pool.  They'll get about 80% complete today, and finish the rest on Tuesday.

Fence Continues

Juvanal from Tycos is putting the finishing touches on the fence.  It's turning out very nicely.

Overnight Demolition

Horatio from Elephant Excavation was busy last night clearing out the garage to make room for the pool guys today.

Demolition begins!

Fence nearly complete

Demolition machinery arrives

Part of the demolition crew's equipment just arrived.  The plan is to get the garage removed today so that the pool excavator can come do his magic tomorrow.

Fence work continues

Pool location and height

Locating "where" the pool will go was pretty easy - but locating the depth of the pool has been tricky.  Without having a 100% clear picture of the look of the backyard until we at least get the foundation in, it's kind of tough deciding on the pool height.   Nevertheless, the guys from Gib-San were over early to help make that call this morning.

Permit!!

After several weeks delay, we finally got our building permit from the city.  That means demolition can start any time - most likely tomorrow.  Hooray!

Fence installation

The guys from Tycos who will act as carpenters on the job came by and started putting the fence together as per my client's design.

By the wend of the day, the final form of the fence was starting to take shape and it's turning out quite nicely.

Fence posts installed

I was able to get a post hole setting company on short notice to come by and install 24 6x6 posts for the fence.  It took him a short 4 hours to get the job done.  We're now ready for the rest of the fence!
